Storm Damage   1 comment

The storm didn’t do anything too bad here.  It’s almost all fixed now, though it’ll take a while to get the broken limbs picked up.

This eucalyptus lost a branch, which is surprising in a young tree.

Here’s the old cottonwood that lost a branch.  It was the one second from the right.

And here’s the fallen branch.  It’ll be firewood next year.

The shelter roofs that blew down are mended, except for this one . . .

That’s because the tin was too badly damaged to be flattened and reused.

All in all, we came through lightly.  A few sheets of tin, and we’ll be good.  There aren’t even many puddles, because the wind parched the ground so much that the water’s soaking in very quickly.

The pups are back in their pen as I write, so they won’t be “helping” me by chewing on my books, or even the computer cords.  Little do they know what an adventure their pen had without them!
