The dogs and I slogged across the sand yesterday to see the water, and it was worth it.
Peaches, especially, knew exactly what to do with it. I’m afraid the garbage, including an abandoned shopping cart, doesn’t add much to the landscape.
I thought the water might just be runoff from town, but it was real, clear, flowing river water.
We explored upstream a little way.
There’s nothing as beautiful as running water . . . notice the egret. It sure doesn’t take them long to find water.
Although, to my mind, any scene can be improved by a galloping Golden with madly flapping ears, flanked by her Border buddy.
Today Marion and I rode upriver, where we found more water than we expected. More about that tomorrow, after I’ve had a chance to edit the pictures.
