It’s been a long time since I’ve been for a ride. Things have been much too busy and stressful. But at last, Marion . . .
and I . . .
. . . made it out for a ride on the Preserve. It wasn’t a very long ride, but my legs were still a bit wobbly when I climbed off. It was worth it, though, to see the beginnings of green grass just showing through the remains of last year’s growth.
Peaches, as usual, enjoyed the ride more than anybody, and especially the company of the horses. Xena, too, was happy to get out — though for once she didn’t make it into the pictures. And they both enjoyed wallowing in all of the mud puddles they could fine.
So far, though, El Nino has been something of a bust here. Other places are getting rain, but we’re still pretty dry. We got a few hundredths this morning; enough to keep the grass coming. We need a lot more.
Maybe I’d better go out and wash my car.
