I like to wander around in the evenings, when it’s (comparatively) cooler, and check on the new horses that have come in. Here’s one — a good-looking Azteca filly. An Azteca is a quarter horse/Andalusian cross, and this is the first one we’ve had in.
She was fascinated by the dogs, who were as usual hot after the Ball. She acted as though she’d never seen a dog before, but maybe she’d just never seen dogs chasing madly after a little green tennis ball.
Here she is making the acquaintance of Pistol. He’s a handsome honey-colored buckskin who belongs to Sarah’s dad.
We sure get to see a lot of different breeds and colors. I stil haven’t decided whether this filly is grey, or a true roan. If she’s here very long, I’ll find out.
