It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any sights through my horse’s ears. It’s been way too hot for an old lady to get out and go, plus Kitty has been lame for a while. This morning, though, a marine layer had come in from the coast, and it was cool. Not just comparatively cool, but 72 degrees, breezy, and overcast. It felt like the beach. And Kitty was all better. So I saddled up, and off we went. We just meandered around the ranch, because we’ve both gotten more than a little soft over the last couple of months.
The place was aswarm with little girls, most of them related. I was trying to catch one in this shot, but missed her. I did get Billy going by in his white pickup, in the background.
Here’s another one, going by with her little bay horse, with Xena and Peaches being sure they got in the picture.
This is great-granddaughter Liliana, with her pinto gaited pony Storm, and the little bay whose name I don’t yet know. Storm is one good pony.
It felt really good to be back on a horse. I hope the weather, and my duties, let me do it more often!
