It’s still very hot — 96 at 12:30 — so I’m continuing my indoor project of cataloging my knitting. Today it’s a gray sampler scarf.
I did this scarf as a sampler of different texture stitches. It’s a good way to learn new things, and I think it’ll make a nice man’s scarf. It’s a blue-gray color that’s nicer than it appears here. I’m rather fond of it.
We survived the Fourth of July without problems. Even the dogs snoozed through most of the popping and banging. There were some huge thuds that most have been farther away than they sounded, because even those only got a couple of ear twitches. The horses, of course, were not problem. They aren’t bothered by fireworks unless they’re right in the pen with them. I wonder why; I know their ears are sensitive. Maybe they know that predators don’t usually go bang.
WordPress is giving me some problems — the post keeps vanishing — so I’ll sign off for now.
