St. Patrick’s Day   Leave a comment

In honor of St. Patrick . . .

deer's cry2

This is a fragment of a prayer sometimes called The Breastplate of St. Patrick.  The legend says that as St. Patrick was traveling through the Irish countryside with a group of followers, they were ambushed by a band of Druids.  St. Patrick began reciting this prayer, which caused the Druids to see only a herd of deer.  St. Patrick passed by safely, to continue his work.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!
