The First Walk   Leave a comment

It was cool enough for a walk this morning, and since Xena was out on Important Dog Business, I asked Peaches if she was ready to give it a try.

The answer was yes.  Well, really Yesyesyeswhatsawalk?

So off we went.

The willows are continuing their recovery, but they’ve got a long way to go to match their old height.

The river, of course, is dry.  The south side of the island got some water after the big storm, but not our side.

Peaches had not realized just how big the world is.

There were a lot of new and different things to sniff and/or chew.

It was hard to get pictures of her, because after she realized this was Not Near Home, she didn’t want to get more than a foot away.  I tripped over her multiple times.  That’s not a bad thing; I don’t want her striking out on her own.

It was a very successful walk.  We’re both looking forward to many more.
