After the Rain   Leave a comment

Things are drying out, though there are a lot of puddles left.  The crew is busy scraping, ripping, and shoveling, trying to dry out the worst pens.  Meanwhile, the horses are enjoying the sun.

Here’s Bella, trying to make up her mind whether it’s worth getting up to see if I have a carrot.

The dogs and I hiked over to the other side, where we found this comfy gray.  How in the world did he manage to stay so clean?

This paint isn’t even lying down, yet it’s hard to tell her real spots from her mud spots.

That’s what comes of being a paint, especially a palomino paint.

There’s not supposed to be more rain anytime soon, so things will have a chance to dry out.  March is usually not a very wet month around here. (That’s why the local drag racers have their March Meet, which got rained out Friday.) But spring is definitely here.  People and horses alike are really enjoying it.

After all, summer is just around the corner.
