Mini Roses and Mushrooms   Leave a comment

The mini roses are about the only thing blooming now, but they’re looking good.

Then there was a mushroom down by the arena — at least I think it was a mushroom.  Billy’s mother Irma could tell, and everyone went mushrooming every spring.  On horseback.  And everyone survived.

Me, I’m not an expert.  The dark silky gills make it look like a mushroom, but I’m not sure enough to sample it.  Besides, tiny pinholes show that the worms got to it first.

There’s been an ad in the paper for several days — a pony, cart, and harness for sale at a very good price.  I’m  pretty  very sure I don’t need a three-year-old hackney cross, but I’d like to look at the cart.  Marion and I plan to do that in an hour or so, and I’ll take pictures.  It ought to be interesting.
