Hay’s In   Leave a comment

Well, the hay is all in and stacked.  Here’s part of it . . .

It’s very nice hay, fine-stemmed and leafy.

It has the horses’ seal of approval.  It tastes good.

It has our feeders’ approval.  It holds together well when it’s thrown.

And it feels really good to have it in and paid for, marking another yearly cycle.

Statistics — it cost about $222,000.  That’s about the same as last year; but last year that money bought 827 tons, while this year it bought 925.  100 tons more for the same amount.

Now to start saving for next year . . .
